From the latest fall trends to Britney's designer baby

From the pages of Us Weekly come the hottest new trends in Hollywood. Remember when I said last week that chocolate brown would eventually be replaced by black. Well all, it has finally happened; the stars are finally walking down the red carpet wearing black and white. Just this past week Reese Witherspoon showed up to her premier of Just Like Heaven wearing a absolutely gorgeous Monique Lhullier beaded dress and Rachel Bilson, from one of my favorite shows the O.C. wore a vintage inspired Jovovich-Hawk strapless dress to a Hollywood party. Needless to say, black and white prints are going to be the new fall staple. So girls, I'm telling you now, go get a new little black dress, you'll thank me later.

The next "it" item you must own this fall is...a big slouchy hobo bag. Not only are they stylish but actually practical as well. For once it's a bag that you can actually carry stuff in. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have been seen carrying around these bags in New York for months now. Which makes sense; they are nicknamed "the hobo princesses". Sienna Miller and Kate Hudson both recently purchased hobo bags and remember the bigger the bag, the better. Check out Coach to find your hot new hobo bag.

Anyway, moving on… so did you all hear?...Britany’s baby is going to clothed by Donatella Versace. How crazy is that? Let’s just hope Britany chooses better clothes for baby than she does herself. Maybe Donatella can help Britany and her hubby, Kevin Federline dress like actual parents.

Well, that's all for this week. Check in next week to find out what you need to have in your closet in order to look like a star!

NYC's Fashion Week Update

This week just happened to be New York City's Fashion Week. With the hottest trends for spring hitting the runway there was bound to be a multitude of celebrity “it girl” sightings. At the Marc Jabocs show Lindsey Lohan looked good enough to walk down the runway wearing a strapless cream colored dress. Of course fashion wouldn’t be fashion week without the one and only Paris Hilton. She attended Diance Von Furstenberg show wearing her signature trendy sunglasses. Her counterpart Nicole Richie kicked off Fashion Week with a party at The New Space in Chelsea. The ultra skinny Richie looked amazing in a coral, floor-length vintage Jill Stuart dress. Speaking of parties….Jacob the Jeweler launched his very first line of footwear at the club Bungalow, attending the party was Ashanti, Mary J Blige, and the list goes on and on.

With all the parties and shows happening you are probably wondering what will we see the stars wearing come spring????

Well ruffles both on top and bottom were seen in the Luca Luca, Doo R, and Cynthia Steffe collections while tiered skirts and dresses will most likely be all the rage. In the Kenneth Cole show models wore ballet shoes and crinkled chiffon dresses while in the Marc Jacobs girls wore ultra chic school girl attire. Almost all the shows had a very feminine feel to them and I think will be a good prediction of the trends to come.

This week from In Touch

This week in the Latest Star Favorite section of In Touch magazine they show shark-tooth necklaces and tattoo trucker hats as being the latest trends in Hollywood. Such stars as Brad Pitt, and Lindsey Lohan were spotted wearing the necklaces around town which are believed to bring good fortune and ward off evil spirits. I personally love the necklaces and think they will become a hot new trend of the season. On the other hand, I think the tattoo trucker hats created by Ed Hardy are hideous. The trucker hat trend disappeared last year and should stay hidden. Stars such as Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton, and Mariah Carey should know better than to wear a hat with skulls all over it.
Moving on...the hottest color of the week seems to be a chocolate color brown. Eva Longoria sported a simple strapless dress by Cynthia Rowley as well as Jessica Alba and Jamie Lynn DiScala. Pairing the color with gold and or turquoise is a simple way to bring life to the sometimes boring color. All in all, I feel the color is a good transition into fall but personally I think you will start seeing the brown taken over by black in the months to come.
Finally, I think everyone should check out “The 10 Biggest Fashion Offenders.” The article includes Tara Reid who is always “hanging out” Paula Abdul who doesn’t understand the art of coordination and Juliette Lewis who comes in as the worst dressed star in Hollywood. No surprise considering all she wears is spandex.
Well that’s all. Check back in to see what the stars are or aren’t wearing in Hollywood.

Best and Worst for 2005

From the latest issue of People magazine comes the best and worst dressed of 2005. Nicole Richie, Lindsey Lohan, Beyonce Knowles and Heidi Klum top the list while Paris and Paris win worst dressed couple. Jennifer Lopez goes from best in 2004 to the worst in 2005 and the award for biggest trendsetter goes to Sienna Miller, who single handedly brought back such styles as the denim vest. Personally, I love how she mixes her vintage collection with modern designer pieces. Jessica Simpson wins for her all American girl look and with the release of her hit movie “Dukes of Hazards” has taken over the role of Daisy Duke with her ultra sexy short shorts. Finally, some of the biggest and best trends on the list were chucky necklaces, big bags, oversized sunglasses, and cowboy boots. Stay tuned for more celebrity fashion trends.
